CEO / LEAD GUITAR

David is one of the most awarded copywriters and creative directors in the advertising business today, the founder of Baldwin&, and co-founder of Ponysaurus Brewing in Durham, NC. David is the former Chairman of the One Club in NYC, and his advertising work has been recognized by Cannes, the One Show, D&AD, the Clios, the Effies, the Andy Awards, the MPA Kellys, Communication Arts, and more. David’s work and writings have been featured in numerous publications and college textbooks on advertising. His film work (Art & Copy, The Loving Story) won two Emmys and a Peabody Award.

JERRY BODRIE

 
 

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS / SUPERCONDUCTOR

Jerry is the Managing Director which means he runs Operations as well as working directly on accounts.  He digs in, learning everthing he can about the product, the brand, the customer and the category because he knows that we can’t do our business if we don’t know your business.  He has worked on Audi, BMW, Jeep, Polaris, Victory Motorcycles, Bridgestone tires, Krispy Kreme, and Videri just to name a few.

ASHLEY YETMAN

 
 

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY / THE STEWARD

Our resident strategy nerd, geeking out on all things brand-meets-consumer. Ashley joined us by way of San Fran­cisco, where she worked at award-winning agencies on great brands like Apple, Audi, HBO, AAA, and Callaway Golf. She is passionate about helping companies establish ideas that propel them forward in ways that improve the typical consumer and employee experience. When she’s not geeking out about strategy, she’s at home in Durham loving/negotiating every moment with her husband and two boys.

DIRECTOR OF MEDIA / MEDIAOLOGIST

Overseeing our media department, David brings equal parts analysis and inspiration to planning and buying, all while seamlessly integrating with our creative teams. David has over 15 years of diverse experience ranging from negotiating with the likes of the NBA and NFL to planning geo-targeted digital campaigns.

JENNIFER HAZELETT

 
 

GROUP ACCOUNT DIRECTOR / GPS

Dedicated Account Director by day and a fierce volleyball player after hours. The skills that she gained from the sport are skills that she applies to her work ethic: she’s the ultimate team player. She knows that every little detail matters so that the team as a whole can focus on the bigger picture. In her 15 years of experience, she has led long-term relationships with brands including Travelocity, Lands’ End, Meijer Supermarkets, and most recently Burt’s Bees.

JENNIFER MATTHEWS

 

DESIGN DIRECTOR / VISUAL THERAPIST

Not only a great Design Director, she’s also a profoundly great Creative/Art Director. (Okay, she’s also an amazing banjo player, but don’t tell her we told you.) She’s been a part of our team for longer than Baldwin& has existed, having worked with David during his McKinney days. During her career, she has worked on accounts including Burt’s Bees, Krispy Kreme, Polaris and Audi among others. But, seriously, don’t tell her we told you about the banjo.

With over 20 years in Project Management, Tonya likes to run—both literally and metaphorically (she has five half-marathons under her belt so far). She knows how to get great ideas turned into reality on time and on budget. Other than running the department, she has personally run Burt’s Bees, BMW Golf, Cree and, oh, let’s face it, she pretty much runs the agency. She is a force of nature.

COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY DIRECTOR / TRAILBLAZER

Michelle lives at the intersection of media, technology, consumer behavior and cultural trends. She leads the charge for communications strategy at the agency, bridging the gap between creative and media by representing the voice of the consumer and the ever changing landscape. Her love for research combined with her background in media has enabled her to uncover unique, actionable insights that have inspired game changing creativity for clients like Netflix, Ulta Beauty and New Balance, grabbing awards ranging from Adweek’s Media Plan of the Year to Cannes Lions.
